LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR TO HOST
ST. GEORGE’S SOCIETY
175TH ANNIVERSARY RECEPTION
TORONTO – The Honourable David C. Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, will host a reception for members of the St. George’s Society on its 175th> Anniversary.
“I’m honoured to host such a distinguished organization that has helped scores of Torontonians through its charitable efforts on the 175th day of its 175th year.”
said His Honour.
The St. George’s Society is Toronto’s oldest charity and was found in 1834. The society provides help to Autistic children, people with Alzheimer’s, AIDS organizations and many other causes through a variety of fundraisers.
