LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR TO HOST
OSGOODE SOCIETY FOR CANADIAN LEGAL HISTORY’S
30TH ANNIVERSARY RECEPTION
TORONTO – The Honourable David C. Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, will host a reception for members of the Osgoode Society for Canadian Legal History on its 30th Anniversary.

The Osgoode Society was founded in 1979 at the initiative of the Honourable R. Roy McMurtry, former Chief Justice of Ontario, and other officials of the Law Society of Upper Canada. In 1993 the group became known as the Osgoode Society for Canadian Legal History. The society promotes public interest in the history of the law, the legal profession and the judiciary in Ontario and elsewhere in Canada.
