A STATEMENT FROM THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR

ON THE PASSING OF PETER ZEZEL

TORONTO – I was greatly saddened to learn of the sudden death of Peter Zezel.

I have known Peter for several years, and had the pleasure of interviewing him on television on a number of occasions. My son, Michael, participated in Peter’s hockey and sports camps for three years and enjoyed working with him.

Peter had a special affection for his students and inspired them to achieve their best. He was a coach, mentor, and friend.

In a profession known for its strong personalities, Peter was truly unique. Greatly admired for his skills, professionalism, and dedication, his team spirit endeared him to hockey fans everywhere.

As an ambassador for the world of hockey, Peter will be sadly missed. I send my heartfelt condolences to his family for this great loss.
