LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR PRESENTS
2008 ONTARIO JUNIOR CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AWARDS
TORONTO – The Honourable David C. Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, will present the 2008 Ontario Junior Citizen of the Year awards in his suite at Queen’s Park on Tuesday, March 3, 2009.
“I am pleased to present these awards to twelve of Ontario’s most outstanding young people,”
said the Honourable David C. Onley. “These recipients have shown tremendous leadership at an early age and are very deserving of this honour.”
Every year, nominations of eligible youth aged 6 to 17 are received through local newspapers. Those eligible commit their time and energy to improvements within their communities.
