LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR PRESENTS AWARDS TO NATIONAL

ETHNIC PRESS

AND MEDIA COUNCIL OF CANADA

TORONTO – The Honourable David C. Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, will preside over an award presentation ceremony for the National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada.

His Honour will present 25 awards to individuals and media publications in commendation for their excellence and journalistic merit.

“I am pleased to support Ontario’s ethnic media who play a pivotal role in our diversified culture,” said the Honourable David Onley. “Through their efforts, Ontarians benefit from media outlets that operate in a variety of languages and cover news and current events here at home and elsewhere.”
