Lieutenant Governor to Unveil Latest Portrait of

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Queen of Canada

TORONTO – The Hon. David C. Onley and Her Honour, Ruth Ann Onley will host a ceremony to unveil the most recent portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at a ceremony in the Lieutenant Governor’s Suite at Queen’s Park in Toronto on Wednesday 6 February 2008. The portrait was taken in Edmonton, in May 2005, during the Royal Visit for the centennial celebrations of Alberta and Saskatchewan. The unveiling will coincide with the anniversary day of Her Majesty’s accession to the throne.
