The Lieutenant Governor of Ontario

The Lieutenant Governor's Suite

QUEEN'S PARK has been the site of the Office of the Lieutenant Governor since 1937. At the northwest corner of the Legislative Building, a handsome sandstone stairway leads to the Lieutenant Governor’s Suite. To improve accessibility, plans are underway to add an outdoor elevator. The Lieutenant Governor’s Suite has reception rooms, offices, and support facilities. These rooms originally housed the Cabinet dining room and the Speaker's apartment, which is now located elsewhere in the building.
