At certain functions, the Lieutenant Governor wears the following insignia:

VICE-REGAL BADGE OF SERVICE

In 1999 The Queen approved the design of a distinctive Vice-Regal Badge of Service for serving Lieutenant Governors (gold) and their spouses (silver). All living former lieutenant governors and spouses were given this badge in 2000.

ORDER OF ST JOHN

The Lieutenant Governor serves by statute as the Vice-Prior of the Order of St John in Ontario. In keeping with its centuries-old tradition of humanitarian aid, the Order supports the community health and safety services of the St John Ambulance.

ORDER OF ONTARIO

His Honour received the Order of Ontario on the day of his installation as Lieutenant Governor. The Province’s most prestigious official honour, the Order of Ontario was created in 1986 to recognize the highest level of individual achievement.
