The Speech from the Throne is read by the Lieutenant Governor but it is written by the Premier and members of the Cabinet. Read at the opening of a new session of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, the Speech from the Throne reflects the Government's legislative plans for the upcoming session, for the members of the Assembly and for the people of the province.
