Each year, the Lieutenant Governor attends hundreds of special events, ceremonies, and celebrations throughout Ontario. To invite the Lieutenant Governor to an event, mail or fax a signed letter written on your organization's letterhead, accompanied by:

• an outline of the event, including the date, time, venue, and the role you would like the Lieutenant Governor to play: visit, deliver a speech, present an award, attend a performance, etc.
• a proposed itinerary for the Lieutenant Governor, including the arrival time and place, names of the host and emcee, event sequence, speech length, and the departure time and place
• details of the physical accessibility to the venue, including any places the Lieutenant Governor would be invited to go
• the number of people expected to participate, and whether they are volunteers, directors, members of the public, etc.
• background on the hosting group, including its registered charitable number if it is a non-profit organization
• the name, address, telephone, fax, e-mail, and website address of the host organization and event coordinator
