Can the Lieutenant help me appeal an Ontario Ministry decision ?
Generally, the Lieutenant Governor cannot intervene in day-to-day decisions made by provincial government ministries. You may wish to write to the Minister in charge of the department involved; the easiest way to do so is to consult the Government of Ontario's on-line directory. If you do write to the Lieutenant Governor, His Honour will forward your letter to the appropriate Minister for his or her attention and response. If you have already tried to resolve the problem with the Government directly, you may wish to consult the Ombudsman of Ontario, 125 Queen's Park, Toronto, Ontario M5S 2C7; telephone 1-800-263-1830.
